A cat is standing at the gates of Heaven, along with a dog, two mice and a rabbit. Peter comes down and explains to them that they are allowed one gift once they enter Heaven, but he must know what they want before they enter. When he gets to the mice, they tell him they want roller skates. “We always used to watch the children roller blading.” One mouse explained. “We always wanted to try it, but the skates were too big for us.” “All right.” Peter replied. “You may enter and you’ll find your roller blades shortly after.” He then turned to the cat. “I want a satin pillow like my master had.” The cat told him. “Very well.” Peter replied.
A few days later, Peter was making his daily rounds. He was also looking for the mice, who nobody could find for some reason. Peter happened upon the cat and smiled. The cat was lying on his pillow, looking around a field of wild flowers. “So cat, how do you like it here?” Peter asked. The cat grinned. “It’s great! The view’s awesome, I can run around whenever I want and take naps whenever I feel like it. But the best part is the food! I especially love the meals on wheels!”
